Come out every Monday at 7pm and 9:30pm to join the Free Texas Hold-Em Poker League.
This is an independent poker league. The game follows the rules of the WSOP. Each player will receive $10,000 in chips. There will be 2 games each night. Each game is designed to run for 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours.
PRIZES:
- 1st Place: $50 in cash
- 2nd Place: $25 Gift Certificate to Lion & Bull
- 3rd Place: $10 Gift Certificate to Lion & Bull
- We will also host a quarterly season final. The top 10 players will receive cash or a gift card with 1st place receiving $300 in cash. Points are accumulated throughout the season with the top 14 receiving extra starting chips for our quarterly tournament. In addition the top 3 players in points at the end of each current season will receive a cash prize. Bonus cards may not be used in the tournament.
SPECIALTY RULES:
- Players who sign up for the 1st game before 6:40 will receive two cards worth an extra $1,000 chip as a bonus. A player may use up to two of these cards per game.
- Any existing player who brings a new player to the tables will receive an extra $5,000 chip at the start of the game.
- Quads: if after a showdown and with both cards in their hand playing a player ends up with quads that player will receive extra chips worth 5 times the current big blind.
- Straight Flush: if after a showdown and with both cards in their hand playing a player ends up with a straight flush that player will receive extra chips worth 10 times the current big blind.
- After the 1st break the tournament director will play a “funny hand.” A funny hand consists of the tournament director dealing a hand face up to everyone at the table including the tournament director. The players at the table are only playing against the tournament director and no player must commit any chips to the pot in order to win. To win a player must only beat the hand dealt to the tournament director. Any player dealt a pocket pair is automatically a winner. The best winning hand at the table will receive a chip worth $5,000. All other winning players will receive $3,000 in chips.
- All players who make the final table will receive a final table bonus card. This card is good for an extra $1,000 in chips in a future game that is played by the player. The cards may be used in addition to the 2 card limit and can be saved and turned in en masse.
- Bonus cards can be used anytime up to the first break.
- Bonus cards may not be used after you have lost all of your chips.
- Bonus cards may not be used if the player is all in.
- There are no re-buys into the tournament under any circumstances
- Anyone who consistently plays all-in, may be asked not to play in future games.
- Fighting or yelling at another player may be cause you to forfeit any remaining chips.
- When a question of procedure arises at a table please ask the tournament director for a ruling or clarification.
- Dealing for the table is not allowed. No one player may deal for everyone at the player. A player may deal for one other player when asked by that player to do so.
- A person may deal for the entire table with the following rules. Everyone at the table must agree. The dealer may not be currently in the game.
- The winner of the previous seasons tournament will have a bounty placed on their head. The bounty will remain on their head until the next Season ending tournament. Any player who takes out that player will receive chips worth 5X the current big blind. In the event that the bounty player makes it to the final table they will receive 3X the big blind, but not to exceed the current big stack.
