Our target open date is rapidly approaching and we are excited to meet our staff. We are now accepting applications for all positions, including servers, bartenders, hosts and kitchen staff. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to work in a great environment and like to make people happy.
We plan to open in the last half of May 2009 (now June 13), with the exact date dependent on a few factors. The week before opening we will be holding group training for front- and back-of-the-house staff.

We’ve decided to rearrange the layout of the restaurant. It has been fun creating the exact space that we wanted in order to offer something for everyone. It’s a good thing that our general manager has about ten years of construction experience, including commercial and residential!
One of our favorite changes has been walling off about a third of restaurant in order to create a more private dining experience. Free of tv’s, bars, jukeboxes, etc., this area lets you focus on your food, drink and company!
For live music entertainment, we are in the process of installing a brand new sound system with dedicated sound board. This means top quality sound to sing along with, whether it be a live band or DJ!
Paint color selections, lighting replacements, sound enhancements, etc. We are busy at work creating our favorite restaurant, and hopefully yours!
We’re installing a top notch sound system at Lion & Bull to give our customers the best experience while listening to live music. Our booking manager is well known in the mid-Atlantic region and we expect to have something for everyone at Lion & Bull. So keep your eyes open and your ear to the ground for upcoming performances.
Our banquet room will play host to various special food and beverage events, including wine tastings and hor’s d’oveures, fixed price special menus, afternoon tea and children’s entertainment luncheons. Of course, our banquet room is also available for private parties and functions.

We went down to Sysco today in order to try various food items that will be on our menu. Any day when you get to try two different types of bacon, two different types of hamburgers, and two different types of filet mignons before noon, well that is just a great day!
We are all very excited about the quality, variety and originality of the food items we will offer on the Lion & Bull menu. Just to give you another little sneak peak, we sampled various types of crabmeat, ciabatta bread, wing sauce, sandwich spread, and … drumroll … french fries! Yes, we had a buffet of french fries to choose from, and with the half dozen members on our panel, we got the best!
