CLASSIC ROCK/COUNTRY/BLUES

The New Dominion Band is 5 seasoned musicians who met through Craigslist. Jay is the drummer and band leader. Susan sings lead and plays acoustic rhythm guitar. Rob plays lead guitar and sings backup. Les is the bass man. Our newest member is Adam, lead vocals and a mean harmonica! Musical interests are wide-ranging, tending toward classic rock and pop of the 60s, 70s, and 80s; country, both classic and contemporary; blues; and traditional Celtic.

FUNK/R&B/ROCK FUSION

pebble-to-pearl-wide

Pebble to Pearl (P2P) creates a unique blend of funk, rock, fierce and powerful blues fused and delivered with soulful grooves and incomparable vocals. They display a tapestry of sound that will truly captivate, mesmerize, and send chills down your spine, while undeniably keeping you entertained and dancing. P2P is road bound, touring up and down the East Coast to venues like the House of Blues in Orlando to the Canal Room in NYC. They bring a collaboration of professional musicians and vocalists from the southwest and Mid-Atlantic who have shared stages with the likes of Chuck Shaffer Picture Show, Rome in a Day, Army of Me, Minus-One, The Blackjacks, JunkFood, The Hint, My Favorite Highway, Fight the Lion, The X’s, Shane Hines and the Trance, JurisFiction, All Time Low, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, Welbilt, The Speaks, Crash Boom Bang, Rude Buddha, Everyone But Pete, Human Room, Of Broken, Tears of Mars, Hello Tokyo, Chuck Brown, Paula Campbell, Backyard Band, Yolanda Adams, B.B. King, Genuine, Missy Elliot, & Tweet.
They have no boundaries creating their own versions of the greats; highlighting legends like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, and Chaka Khan, to the new generation powerhouses ranging from Beyonce and Rihanna, to Joss Stone and Lenny Kravitz. Their original project, aimed to be released later this year, holds no bounds in blending a combination of funky blues rock with hard hitting and flawless vocals. If you haven’t seen them in action, you are missing a key note in the chromatic scale. They throw in everything but the kitchen sink into their show and leave a lasting impression and the need for wanting more.

INSIDE PEBBLE TO PEARL

DariJ (lead vocalist): DariJ is an up-and-coming artist whose voice extends beyond normal genres with its fierce attitude but earnest and genuine soulfulness.  Though artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, and Stevie Wonder can take credit for her early devotion to singing, her style blends everything from funk, rock, to old-school soul.  DariJ started out singing at a very young age, the stage is no stranger to her.  Thru her music career she has performed in both vocal groups and as an original soloist, finally finding her place amongst her fellow band members.  ”I never wanted to be a studio singer with tracks behind me.  My home is on stage performing, with live musicians.  Feeling the groove reverberate through my bones is my only true addiction in life,” says DariJ in a recent editorial.  She formed Pebble to Pearl as a fresh start and return to her roots; integrating her original music into the cover band scene making it one of the regions leading bands.

Sean (keys/guitar/vox): Classically trained but bred on rock, Sean brings his unique influences to all styles of funk, rock, jazz, classical, and R&B.  He is also the lead singer of his own original rock band, Fallworth (www.fallworth.com).  It is Sean’s versatility that brings so much to the table as a member of Pebble to Pearl.

Chris (drums/vox): A true multi-instrumentalist who began playing piano and trumpet as a child, and, as a teenager, drums and guitar, Chris has developed a musical style and vocabulary that breaks through any and all constraints.  Also an accomplished singer-songwriter, Chris’ first full length album entitled “That Ain’t a Sin”, Self Produced, and on which he played almost all of the instruments, will be released early in 2011.

JFork (guitar/vox): Known best for his guitar work and songwriting in the bands Cobbler and The War Within, Jamison brings his own unique flavor to the guitar, by blending his influences (Tom Morello, David Gilmour and Alex Lifeson) with a combined passion for funk and soul. He entertains the audience with a dynamic performance and charisma both on stage and off.

Dece (bass): Dece started in music as a synth programmer at the age of 16. Soon after, he  picked up the bass after seeing Prince in concert and immediately fell in love with the instrument.  Throughout the years he became interested in developing his skills in other areas of music as he gradually moved from playing the bass to recording engineer to producing and back to bass.  Dece’s influences are very diverse ranging from Smooth Jazz, R&B, Neo-Soul & Rock to House and Lounge music and Reggae.  Dece often wanders behind his home eating the mushrooms he finds lying about and talks to the little people who live under his utility shed.

Rock & Pop CoversTAG-The-BandTag has been known for many years as a game children play. One child will run after the others, catch another child and yell, “You’re it!” But the world of music has a new definition of TAG. If you’re waiting for a band that possesses a perfect blend of raw talent and intoxicating melodies…They’re it!

John Taglieri, lead vocalist and guitarist of TAG, is no stranger to the stage. With seven solo albums under his belt, and years of continuous touring, he has been breathing music for most of his life.

But after winning awards for Male Pop CD of the Year, UIMA Pop/Rock Artist of the Year and sharing the stage with top name acts such as Rick Emmett, Edwin McCain, The Gin Blossoms, Gavin DeGraw and Sister Hazel, Taglieri decided it was time to take a break from being a solo artist and put his efforts into creating TAG.

Good friend and co-writer, Brad Whitley, has been Taglieri’s guitarist/vocalist for years. The synergy between them is undeniable as they compliment and play off of each other’s licks. While subtle styles of influences like Paul Simon, Butch Walker & My Chemical Romance are evident in Whitley’s writing and playing, he adds his own unique qualities that will grab your ear and keep its attention.

Tom Darby, who started his musical career on trombone opening for Dizzy Gillespie in 1982, adds another layer to TAG’s sound with his vocal harmonies and melodic mastering of the ivory keys. Having played with Taglieri in various band incarnations for 5 years, Darby is a musical multi-tasker who effortlessly swaps the keys for the harmonica and the harmonica for the guitar.

But not all of TAG’s talent lies in the catchy melodies. The rhythm section boasts its own talents and accomplishments. Dave Willard on bass/vocals and Rob “Action” Jackson on drums/vocals, may be judged at first glance by their baby faces, but the judgements will quickly end as soon as the beat begins.

Willard, a William Paterson University graduate with a Bachelor of Music degree in Sound Engineering Arts, started his first band at the age of 15. With experience playing in a classical guitar trio, a 20 piece jazz band and numerous rock bands, Dave brings diversity to TAG that only makes the band’s sound stronger.

Jackson, who has been pounding the skins since he was still in diapers, has the charisma and energy that has often lead to a comparison with his idol, Animal, from Jim Henson’s “The Muppet Show”. Jackson’s ability to bring fans to their feet adds to TAG’s power on stage, and ensures the audience a great time.

TAG started as a thought in John Taglieri’s mind and developed into a masterpiece as the five members of the musical puzzle connected. Whether at a live show or on a recording, the first time you hear TAG, you’ll know…They’re it!
