Clinton Curtis grew up between the islands of Jamaica and Key West, Florida, the son of musicians and reggaehall owners. As a kid, he played with and learned from some of the Jamaican giants – Gregory Isaacs, Desmond Dekker and Roots Explosion. His mother and father were pioneers of the Jamaican live music scene, managing and promoting many top reggae artists. Clinton was always eager to learn from musicians, and they were happy to teach him. He was an accomplished classical pianist by age 8. By 13, he was fluent on more than a dozen instruments.
At age 18, Clinton moved to New York and began working as a singer while studying acting at NYU. It was there, in Greenwich Village, in the bars and clubs that defined so much of music history, that he realized he wanted to write popular music. He took to it feverishly, writing dozens of songs a month. He teamed up with producer Matt Stine, and signed to indie label 27 Sound.
Currently, Clinton and his band are a fixture in the downtown NY music scene.
Clinton is credited with having the largest crowd ever at the famous Lower East Side venue, The Livingroom, where he plays every month.
Clinton also appeared on FOX’s Fearless Music TV, where he won the most votes of any other act and was brought back by viewers to play the TV show two weeks in a row. Those performances still remain in the top 10 most watched videos on the Fearless Music website.
Clinton’s music represents the coming together of all the musical genres he has been exposed to throughout his life. From Country to Reggae, from Blues to Bach, Clinton Curtis is a throwback to the great songwriters of the 1960’s with the musical versatility and voice of a new artist set on making his mark on today’s popular music landscape.

Ryan and Sam Weber have been playing music together since Sam received a guitar for Christmas when he was eight years old. Ryan, two and half years older than Sam, picked up the bass and soon the brothers were playing shows all over their native Westminster, Maryland in bands such as Illegal Aliens and the Northern Lights.
After finishing high school and traveling to cities such as Nashville, Memphis, and Amsterdam, the Brothers decided to send a demo tape to Ronnie Hawkins, whom they have idolized since they saw his performance in The Band’s (Martin Scorsese’s award-winning 1976 concert documentary of The Band’s farewell performance) ‘‘The Last Waltz’’.
Hawkins was so impressed with the Weber Brothers’ talents that he invited them to his house north of Peterborough to attend his 90 day ‘‘Rock and Roll Boot Camp’’. After three months of living and rehearsing on Hawkins’ farm, the brothers became members of Ronnie’s world famous band ‘‘The Hawks’’.
In its young career Honor By August has already played arena stages, had its music broadcast to millions and won the Grand Prize in Billboard’s World Song Contest.
“Now widely considered one of the most promising new talents on the East Coast,” (Washington Post) Honor By August makes music characterized by “distinctive, inviting vocals and anthemic, reverb-drenched guitars” (MetroMusicScene.com) and built on “award-winning songwriting, strong vocals, catchy melodies, and dynamic live performance” (Jenni Chase, Washington’s Z104/OnTap Magazine).
Their newest release, “Found,” finds the band in musical territory somewhere between U2, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon and Bruce Springsteen — a melodic and accessible blend of rock hooks and lyrical observations on life, loss, love and hope.
A fast-growing reputation has helped create opportunities for the band to share stages as big as arenas with artists including Bon Jovi, Third Eye Blind, Vertical Horizon, Peter Frampton, Hootie & the Blowfish, Edwin McCain, Hanson, Pat McGee Band, Virginia Coalition and many, many others.
While drawing comparisons to some of these bands and developing a sound of their own, Honor By August won the Grand Prize in the Billboard World Song Contest, as well as an XM Radio contest where they beat out hundreds of regional bands to open for Bon Jovi.
Their music has been broadcast to millions many times over on ESPN and they have worked with Grammy-winning producers, mixers, and engineers including Jack Joseph Puig (U2, Snow Patrol, Rolling Stones), Paul David Hager (Goo Goo Dolls), Jeff Juliano (John Mayer, O.A.R, Lifehouse), Toby Wright (Third Eye Blind) and Ted Comerford (Virginia Coalition).
Honor By August has played to single crowds as big as 20,000 from arena shows at the Verizon Center, McDonough Arena and Innsbrook Pavilion, to headlining multiple shows at the 9:30 Club (DC), to notable national venues like the Bowery Ballroom (NYC), Blender Theater (NYC), Knitting Factory main stage (NYC), Viper Room (LA), Ram’s Head Live (MD), Toad’s Place (VA), Middle East main stage (MA), Cain’s Ballroom (OK), House of Blues Cleveland (OH) and many others across the country.
Their sophomore release “Found” continues to fuel the buzz as it builds on the foundation of the first album, further honing the band’s songwriting and development.
